Midnight Talks and Broken Washers..

David and I had a fun night at home last night! He just traded in his Wii and Xbox 360 for a PS3! He was so excited about using the Blu Ray player that it has, so last night, we watched The Blind Side and Couple's Retreat on Blu Ray. The Blind Side was absolutely amazing and Couple's Retreat was pretty funny! David and I picked the couple we are most like, or are most likely to be like in the future! :) It was fun! There was this weird dripping noise in the utility room and we weren't sure what was going on, but checked it out and there was no leaking anywhere. So, we just went to bed.

At around 4 this morning, Dave woke up and needed to talk about the upcoming deployment. We're just not sure how to really feel about the deployment and how to emotionally and mentally approach it. I don't think there's really a way to TRULY prepare for a deployment, even having been through one already. Every tour is different and has different challenges and obstacles. We are both in a completely different stage of our lives than 2 years ago when he was getting ready to leave for Iraq. Regardless, I am beyond proud of my Soldier and the service he gives to this country! It's never going to be easy, but we are a military family and this is how things go. We can get through this next year and a half and we will be stronger for it!

So, we eventually got everything talked out and we felt much better about things. We still have a lot to do to get ready, but it'll get there. David got up to get ready for work and noticed that the closet smelled funny, and the closet is backed up to the washer... uh oh! So, we called our landlord and they were sending maintenance over. I walked into the closet to put something away, and realized the carpet was soaking wet! We called the landlord back and they're working on what we need to do to take care of all of this. We had a couple move in above us yesterday, so we're wondering if that has anything to do with it. So, we'll see how it goes! The dryer broke a few weeks ago. My AC in my car started to fail. And now all of this with the washer and the moldy closet... gross. I'm just glad that David is still here while all of this is going on. I can't imagine having everything around us malfunction with him being gone! So, maybe we're just getting all the breakdowns for the next year! That would be nice! Haha!! Enjoy your long weekend everyone! :)
